Lungu has worked in various aspects of social science research for nearly a dozen studies over the last ten years. He began his research career working as an interviewer and administrative assistant and has more recently served as a data manager and supervisor.  In his capacity as data supervisor during TLT-3, he managed data clerks and administrative staff, generated and maintained the logging database, programmed all survey instruments, and processed all data. As a data supervisor, Lungu also provided critical technical assistance in training interviewers, administrative support staff, and data managers in data collection, data quality, and data validation.
